Insurance Claim, Insurance Policy

On December 23, a crazy person driving his company's truck decided to fly over an icy bridge. He lost control on the ice, not surprisingly, and hit my car (that my husband was driving at the time)in the rear panel. This sent the car across the bridge and front end first into a concrete barrier wall at 60mph. The officer said at the scene that it was totally the other dirver's fault. Then we found out his insurance company had STATE FARM INSURANCE. That should have been my first clue that there was a problem.

The car was deemed totalled by GEICO, my insurance company, but I told them that State Farm would take care of it as it was his fault. BAD IDEA!!! The totalled car has now been sent to the auto auction, and it will probably be sold off before State Farm will even look at it. Ten days later, RAY WILLIAMS at State Farm Insurance  says that he can't go look at it until the other driver gives his statement. This after we sent the accident report and left our statement. If he isn't calling after ten days, he's at fault. So I of course got an attorney.

Then there is my husband's medical bills. There is the Whiplash, the knee injury, the two cracked ribs from the seatbelt or airbag, the TMJ that is starting to emerge, the slipped disk, and the blood pressure that was so high when he went to the ER that he should have had a stroke by then. Thanks for the added stress state farm. Now you can put his pressure up enough to kill him and leave me a widow with twin four year olds. But hey, you would get your wish....we wouldn't need the second car as there would be one less parent to dirve two!!!!
